Newcomer Settlement Services
Immigration Settlement and Adaptation Program (ISAP)
N_C_! The objective of ISAP is to help newcomers settle and integrate into Canadian society so that they can participate in Canadian life as soon as possible. Through this program, Settlement Counsellors provide information on life in Canada such as health, social services, housing, schools and language training, banks...etc., referral to community resources, solution-focused counselling, and basic employment-related services. Services also include completion of government forms, orientation and group information sessions on many life-related issues.
Newcomers have a free access to computers and internet, fax and photocopying. This service is available for Landed Immigrants and Convention Refugees.

Job Search Workshops (JSWs)

Through 16-hour workshops, participants will have the opportunity to identify their skills, develop resumes and cover letters, complete job applications, research local employers and labour market, learn job search tips and prepare for effective interviews. This service is available for Landed Immigrants and Convention Refugees.

Library Settlement Program (LSP)

LSP offers a unique and innovative Newcomer Information Service in 11 communities

throughout Ontario. This service is made possible by
a partnership of the settlement sector, public libraries, and Citizenship and Immigration Canada. LSP services include one-on-one settlement information and referral, group information sessions, and community outreach. This service is open to all community members at large including Landed Immigrants, Convention Refugees, Refugees and Citizens. Our settlement services Worker is located inside Jalna Branch Library.
